International Students

At Leeds Met are pretty awesome. We had a welcome party that was British themed, there was dancing, food, and Haggis. And yes, I ate it.

We sat at the Wales table. I really wanted sit at Scotland, but the only one left was too close to the speakers :(

The table settings. Plaid is pretty much the best pattern ever ;)
 Another picture of our balloons.

Ok here is the food:
Shortbread: From Scotland, it's the one on the top of the plate.
Toad-in-the-Hole: Bottom left of the shortbread, it's from England
Colcannon w/ Soda Bread: Bottom right of the shortbread, it's from Ireland.
Welsh Rarebit: Bottom left of the Toad-in-the-hole, it's obviously from Wales!
HAGGIS: to the left of the Rarebit, it is usually a sheeps lungs, liver, and heart minced with onions, spices, oatmeal, and various other things. I ate it in one bite, it wasn't that disgusting, but just knowing what it was while I was eating it made it worse. And of course, it's from SCOTLAND!
Fish and Chips: under the rarebit, it's from the UK.
Scones w/ Jam and Cream: to the right of fish and chips, it's from England, and delicious.
Eclaire: I don't know why that was even there, but it was good!

SIDE NOTE:

To my lovely mother Jules, Ma, Mom, Mummy, Mumma, etc....

They have Pizza here in England. But, what is interesting, is that I think they are all run by people of Turkish descent. Not only can you get pizza, but you can also get kebobs, and fried chicken. Here's proof!

Oh yeah, they put corn on their veggie pizza. How odd is that?!?!

Well, much love, loves!
